Thursday appointments

Dear Family and Friends,
Just wanted to give you a quick update on the four appointments Dianne had on Thursday, October 6th. First, we went to interview one of three reconstructive surgeons, Dr. Korman. We had a few laughs about small breasted women! Then, we walked across the street for Dianne to get her MRI. The MRI technicians had to position Dianne “just right” on her belly. The talked back and forth about going down an inch and a half on her breasts. Well, maybe it is only an inch. They were extremely respectful, but yet again, the small breast issue! Good thing Doc has a strong, confident ego! After the MRI we walked to get something to eat. Oh, we had Cooper the puppy for this entire trip. Cooper was a hit everywhere we went. After we ate, Dianne had an appointment with her ob/gyn who she has seen since she was 22 years old. It was nice to have him reassure us that this is just a bump in the road. I left after this appointment, and Mom and Doc headed to the second reconstructive surgeon, Dr. Liu. He spent an hour explaining everything to them, so Dianne is really becoming an expert. Dave called before each appointment and listened to the conversation from Switzerland. He gave input when necessary, and it was wonderful to hear the support and love he has for Dianne.
Today, Dianne should get the results from the MRI and hopefully the BRCA 1 & 2 genetic results. I will update again as soon as I hear more. Thanks for all the prayers! God Bless, Love, MK
